It was sad to see the health foodshop (nr Costa's Coffee and the Chinese medice shop) closed. Good new in that a new shop is opening soon, selling cakes, pretzels, bagels and various sandwiches, snacks coffees and meals. Let's hope it does well - always good to see a busy, thriving and varied shopping centre.

Many people send their children to performing arts classes, but have you every thought about sending them to a full time Stage School Nursery. We have the only one in the Country, in our Borough! What are your thoughts?

My mum thinks there are rats in the kitchen and today, she saw a biscuit on the floor with some crumbs. If there are rats, how does she get rid of them. Does the council provide any service on removal of rats?

More and more restaurants are charging 12.5% extra on bills, I presume to cover "service" charges. What "services" are they talking about? Is this extra charge in order I wonder? I mean, when I go to a large shop to buy say a suit, I don't pay for extras like heating and lighting and air con and for the assistant to measure me. I pay the marked price for the suit only. Are we customers being cheated?

The history of the Ealing area shows it was(is) a fine location for growing fruit - there used to be umpteen orchards here it seems. Would this be a promising terroir for growing grapes? Perhaps we might see a chateau castlebar on day? Anyone grow grapes in Ealing?

There seems to be plenty of construction-type activity on the cinema site now. Given Empire's previous smoke and mirrors act, are we finally persuaded that it is now going to be built? And a propos, is it actually Empire or some other company building the cinema? I couldn't tell from all the press releases whether or not the compulsory purchase order was ever executed. Also, is it going to be a single cinema or - as I recall from one Ealing Today article - is it going to be some kind of mini "media village"?

As far as I'm aware, local by-laws mean that builders aren't allowed to make any noise when working until 8.00am at the earliest, so how come I'm woken up every Monday morning at 7.30am by the noise of crashing bottles from the Recycling Truck? With the previous lot, they came past at 7.30am on a Monday collecting black bin bags (quietly) and the recycling truck didn't arrive until mid-morning. This lot seem to deliberately make as much noise as possible to make sure that everyone is woken up!

The Management of the Nations Finances , The Management of Planning in House Building, The Management of an Immigration Policy,The Management of our beloved NHS---I am sure a number of other issues would strike the population as leaving things to the last minute before any Action is taken to prevent a Crisis in the UK.Why do they wait for a Crisis before the Government acts. Can you name the next Crisis waiting to happen ? OR name an action now being taken to prevent something that is bound to get towards a Crisis?
