Dessert Specialist Relaunches with New Name and Management

Heavenly on New Broadway will offer brunch

The frontage or the new look venue

A familiar name on New Broadway is preparing to reopen its doors this month, as the former Heavenly Desserts restaurant returns under a new franchisee and a new identity. Now simply called Heavenly, the venue at 29 New Broadway, W5 has undergone a full refurbishment and will reopen on Friday 16 October at 5pm.

The relaunch is part of a wider rebranding across the national chain, which is moving away from its previous dessert‑only focus and expanding its menu to include brunch dishes and coffees alongside its established sweet offerings. The Ealing branch is among the first to adopt the new look and menu direction.

The restaurant will be run by Imran Khan, whose family has long operated a gelato shop and pizzeria in Florence. Although the family moved to the UK ten years ago, they continue to run their Italian businesses, and Mr Khan has been looking for opportunities to establish a food outlet here.

He said the rebrand made the timing right: “When I heard that the company was shifting the focus away from just desserts to brunch and coffees, I knew the time was right for me to get involved. My family has extensive experience running food outlets in Italy and I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to do the same in the UK.”

Mr Khan has overseen the refurbishment of the Ealing site to bring it in line with the chain’s updated design approach.

Heavenly, which opened its first restaurant in 2008 and came to Ealing in August 2024, has been expanding its menu over recent years in response to customer demand for more than desserts. The Ealing relaunch follows the unveiling of the chain’s new look at its Crawley branch earlier this autumn.

Chief marketing officer Zain Hussein said the rebrand reflects how customers already use the restaurants: “While we are proud of what we achieved as Heavenly Desserts, we also know that many people come to us for so much more. Our customers across the country have been enjoying our expansion into brunches and coffee as well as desserts.”

The company says each of its 60‑plus restaurants has a distinct interior design influenced by local culture, with no two branches looking the same.

The Ealing branch will reopen with several introductory offers over the weekend:

  • Saturday: free coffee for the first 100 customers from 10am, plus 50% off selected dessert items all day
  • Sunday: 50% off selected items from the new brunch menu

Under the new branding, the menu will continue to include the chain’s signature desserts — such as croffles, crepes, milk cakes and dessert tapas — alongside an expanded brunch range featuring dishes like Masala Toast, Chorizo Hash Brioche and Croffle Benedict. Hot drinks include standard teas and coffees as well as speciality options such as a saffron latte.
